I wore this dress to a wedding in the fall. I loved the velvet for additional warmth. This dress is appropriate for formal occasions as it went to my knees & not too deep of a plunge in the chest area. I got so many compliments. It was comfortable to wear, & was flattering. I’m. 5’6” 180 lbs & got a large. ThankI ordered two - Hunter and merlot in XS. Hunter is a true hunter green, and merlot is a rich wine burgundy red. They are both beautiful and fully lined. Quality is excellent! I am 5’1” and weigh 100 lbs. My normal size is petite 0 or XS. This dress fits perfectly. The reason I’m taking away one star is because this dress is somewhat hard to put on and take off. There is neither button or zipper. Someone like me who suffers from fibromyalgia has difficulty pulling it over the head or removing it. Otherwise, it’s an excellent piece!I liked it 100/%
