It fits fine, but there is nothing to loop the string through and seems a little short to tie after she wraps it around her torso.Most of my 3 year old daughter's dance leos are short sleeved. I bought her a couple of long sleeved for winter, but she is so tiny (30 pounds) and "in between" sizes that the neck was too large and bulky to the point that she just could not wear them this year because when she would move her arms around, the front would open up and there was just too much material there. I decided to try a wrap to put over her short sleeved leos so that they would be long sleeved. This was perfect. One misnomer is the name "sweater" in the title. This is not a sweater material. It is basically the same material that the leos are made out of. We did want a sweater, but could not find one made for her size as she is 3T. She did get another actual dance sweater wrap for Christmas from her Aunt, but she will not be able to wear it for a few years as it is huge and was the smallest size that the sweater came in. This was the only wrap that I could find in any brand that was small enough for a toddler size. While I wish it was a little thicker, she has not complained about being cold. I wanted to get the black as I thought it would match more of her leos, but she insisted on a pink one and it does look nice with her pink leotards. I do like this product and may consider investing in the black as I think she will be able to wear these next year as well.Very cute. But don’t expect a sweaterDescription said it was a sweater but is the same material as my daughter's leotard. I expected it to be somewhat knitted. My daughter wears between 5t and 6, I ordered a 6x-7. The sleeves barely fit so it will probably last for a few months without her growing out of it. The bottom is sewn a little irregular so it is a little weird when you tie it. It's still cute so I decided to keep it.It's winter & my 3 1/2 year old is in dance. This was perfect for her current dance outfits from summer without having to buy long sleeve ones & to use what's in her closet. It was a little big in the arms but easily can be rolled up & saved us a bit of money on new outfits. Hopefully this should even last until next year.I love the cotton/spandex material which doesn't irritate like acrylic knits. I bought the 4-6 and 6X-7 for my very slim (18kg, 1.1m) then 6yr old. The 4-6 was too small so I gave it to my 2 yr old - the bodice fits though the sleeves were slightly long but that was not a problem as the material makes the sleeves snug enough to stay at the wrist. My elder girl took the 6X-7 and it fit perfectly. She's 7 now, still slim (20kg, 1.2m), and it still fits.I bought two of these for my girls to wear in their dance classes. This body wrapper is absolutely perfect for keeping them warm but not too warm where they pull it off 2 minutes after they begin the class. They even wear it to gymnastics. It is made of there same material as their leotards- it is not sweater material which is what I had been looking for. Very happy with this purchase! : )We purchased this wrap for my daughter to wear to a traditional ballet class. It helps keep her warm on chilly days without violating the dress code. It is quite cute and she gets many compliments. It doesn't really "wrap" but instead just ties in the front, but that is okay with me because it is adorable either way. The material is soft and washed well. I am very pleased with the purchase.
