My daughter has been using these swaddles since she was born, they didn't fit her well at first, she was born 8 lbs. 6 oz. and I had the small 7-14lb size. But as she grew a little, the swaddle wrapped around snuggly and kept her cozy all night on her back. She could not sleep without her swaddle until she finally grew out of it at 8 months. I ordered the large size but did not use long since she finally grew out of needing it to sleep and she started to roll over with the swaddle on and was good at getting one arm out, that is when I knew it was time to help her learn to sleep without it. These swaddles are perfect for keeping baby tightly swaddled, the only problem I had was that the velcro would wear out where I swaddled her every night, using the same spot each time, it wouldn't stay wrapped and she would wake up and not be able to go back to sleep if she moved too much and the swaddle came loose, so I had to keep buying new ones but it was worth it because they worked so well. This is the only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5. I only used the cotton ones because the fleece kept her too warm even in winter with the heat set at 70 each night. The temp at night was sometimes 35 degrees or less outside and the house would get too warm if I kept the heat on higher than 70, so cotton kept her warm enough over a cotton sleep and play. I have since started sleeping her in the Swaddle Me Sleep Sacks, she stays warm all night and I don't have to worry about a blanket being kicked off or bunched up around her. I sleep better too. I definitely recommend the SwaddleMe, it made such a difference in helping my baby sleep well every night. Of course, she still woke at night for feedings through 8 months but without the swaddle, she only slept maybe an hour, with the swaddle, she would sleep at least 3-4 hours at a time, sometimes 6. Also, washed in cold and medium dry cycle so that it would reduce shrinking, shrunk a little when washed but easily able to stretch it out before using.
